Wanderlust

Because you have to be rooted to roam.

Telehealth occupational therapy for families in Virginia and Florida, plus parent coaching and education for families anywhere; supporting neurodiverse kids and the parents growing right alongside them.

There was a girl who struggled with confidence and feeling a sense of belonging in her environment. Everything felt hard. And she felt that she was alone and misunderstood by everyone around her; even those who truly loved her.

Her parents worked hard to help her, but fell short on helping due to burn-out dealing with the same frustrations daily; the yelling over homework, the meltdowns over small things, the daily battle of getting ready on time.

Her teachers tried to be patient and understand her meltdowns, but they were unable to manage all of the extra challenges that came with constantly cueing her to keep her desk clean, or to find her notebook from the chaos of her locker.

She began to wonder if she would ever feel seen. If she wasn't always disappointing everyone around her. She began to feel labeled as the "bad kid."

Does this story sound familiar?

If so, you have come to a safe space. A place that fully validates your emotions and the challenges and frustrations that can come from dealing with neurodiversity; for your child, and for you as a parent navigating it alongside them.

Whether your child is struggling with impulse control, executive function (organizing, planning, problem-solving), emotional regulation, fine motor skills, or sensory processing — we are here to guide you through the process in a play-based, patient-centered, and child/parent-empowering structure.

You don't need to have it figured out. You just need a starting place. This is it.

💛 Impulse control 🧠 Executive function 💚 Emotional regulation ✋ Fine motor skills 🌿 Sensory processing 🏠 Daily living skills

If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

I've read every article and tried everything. Nothing sticks; or it works for a week and then we're back to square one.

The advice out there assumes I have one calm child and a perfectly predictable schedule. That is not my life.

I know my child needs support, but I don't even know where to start; and I don't have the bandwidth to figure it out alone.

How we work together

Two ways to get the support your family actually needs

For your child

Child-centered OT sessions

Direct, one-on-one occupational therapy with your child; delivered via telehealth, tailored entirely to their individual needs. Not a protocol. Not a template. A real therapeutic relationship built around your child.

What we work on

Emotional dysregulation and co-regulation strategies
Fine motor skills and handwriting
Visual motor integration and coordination
Activities of daily living; dressing, hygiene, independence
Feeding challenges and mealtime difficulties
School readiness, executive function, and sensory needs

For you, the parent

Parent education & coaching

Not a lecture. Not a handout. Real guidance built around your family, your schedule, and your capacity (including yours). Because you matter in this equation too.

What this looks like

Clear, jargon-free strategies that we develop together so you can actually use this week
Working through challenges together, not just handing you a plan, this is iterative not a one and done process
Support for parents who are also navigating their own dysregulation
Guidance for full-time parents, single parents, and military families
Evidence-based approaches adapted to your life
Feeling heard, validated, and equipped; not overwhelmed

🌎 Available to families anywhere. Coaching and education is general guidance for parents; it is not occupational therapy and does not replace care from a licensed provider in your state.

🪖 Moving soon? Your coaching relationship comes with you. Whether it's a PCS to a new duty station, a move across the country, or a posting overseas, Danielle stays your coach — same relationship, same support, no starting over.

Who this is for

Families the standard advice never quite fits

The neurodiverse household

ADHD, sensory processing differences, emotional dysregulation. Danielle's own family of six is right there with you.

The military or mobile family

PCS moves, OCONUS postings, time zones, schools that keep changing. Danielle has lived it. And when you move, your coaching relationship moves with you — same person, same context, no starting from scratch at a new provider.

The parent who's also struggling

Full-time parents, parents navigating their own regulation, parents who are burnt out. You're part of the system too, and you deserve support.

The family that's tried everything

You've read the books. Tried the routines. Something isn't clicking. Danielle works with you to find what actually fits your specific family.

The child falling through the cracks

School is hard. Mornings are hard. Mealtimes are hard. Your child isn't defiant — they need a different kind of support. That's exactly what this is.

The parent who just needs someone to listen

Before the strategies, before the plan. You deserve to feel heard. Every session starts there.

Families we've worked with

What parents are saying

Real feedback from real families across a range of needs. Every one of them started exactly where you are.

We loved working with Mrs. Danielle. Our son was diagnosed with an executive functioning disorder as well as ADHD and we were struggling to figure out how best to support him and how to help him grow through this. We started working with Mrs. Danielle and from day one we were amazed. Each week we'd learn a new skill, add a new tool to his toolbox and to ours as his parent, and one little piece would fall into place and it was so incredible to see how big of an impact that would have week over week. She patiently explained each tool and skill to him and he felt so empowered because he understood how his mind worked. And she also patiently explained the deficit to us each week and would give us so many examples of how we could continue to build the skill in fun ways throughout our daily life that never felt like homework or hard work.

Oh my goodness, we LOVE Mrs. Danielle!!! She worked with our daughter on emotional regulation and the growth we saw over a 6 month period was incredible. Our daughter immediately connected with her and looked forward to occupational therapy each week because it was truly so much fun. Mrs. Danielle was prepared each week with a fun new lesson - for example making a book about feelings, or reading a story and talking about how each character felt during different moments, or having stuffed animals act out different situations … whatever it was if our daughter took to it she had suggestions on how we could build upon it over the course of the week. We learned a new skill each week too that helped us parent better - small tweaks we could make to set better boundaries in moments of chaos or things to notice that might stop a meltdown before it started.

Mom of a daughter

We are incredibly grateful for the support and expertise our daughter received during occupational therapy. As a child with dyslexia and visual processing challenges, she often found reading and other academic tasks frustrating. Danielle was patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping her succeed.

Danielle creatively designed engaging activities that targeted visual processing skills while keeping sessions fun and motivating. She was proactive in identifying areas of need, communicating progress, and adjusting strategies to meet our daughter's unique learning style.

We highly recommend Danielle to anyone seeking an occupational therapist who is knowledgeable, compassionate, creative, and dedicated to helping children reach their full potential.
